Banks County Schools in Georgia has received a $1,000 mini-grant from the Georgia Agriculture Education Foundation for its elementary agriculture education programs. This grant will help the school enhance its agriculture teaching through hands-on projects and new learning materials. The school was chosen for its innovative approach to teaching agriculture.

Banks County Board of Education recognized each school's Teacher of the Year and Classified Person of the Year at the last BOE meeting on November 16th.

In a commitment to elevate student achievement, Banks County Schools launched an initiative this school year to recognize and celebrate exceptional educators who embody best practices and promote student success. This month's spotlight shines brightly on Mrs. Angie Wheatley.

In collaboration with the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency and the National Weather Service, Banks County Schools will participate in Georgia's Fall Severe Weather Preparedness Day on November 1st at 9:30 a.m.
This is an opportunity for our school community to practice and familiarize ourselves with necessary safety protocols in the event of severe weather.
