Culver’s Partners with Banks County Schools to Honor New Teachers

Banks County Schools has partnered with Mr. Daniel Tran, owner of Culver’s at Banks Crossing, to launch the Roaring Rookie of the Month award for first-year teachers. Congratulations to Mrs. Maggie Spear, 1st-grade teacher, for being named the very first honoree and receiving a special meal from Culver’s in recognition of her hard work.

Banks County Schools Recognizes Student Achievement at September BOE Meeting

Banks County Schools recognized top student performers at the September Board of Education meeting, honoring achievement on the GEORGIA MILESTONE ASSESSMENTS.

Rotary Club Members Tour Food Pantries and Project Success Program

The Banks County Rotary Club visited Banks County Schools to see the Food 2 Kids program and school food pantries they help fund. Members joined the Middle School Interact Club to bag over 100 food bags for students. They also toured the new Project Success program at the high school.

Banks County School District Launches Leopard Tracks Program to Support New Teachers

The Banks County School District has introduced Leopard Tracks, a new program designed to guide and support teachers as they begin their journey in the district. The initiative provides a network of resources, training opportunities, and direct connections to district leaders, ensuring that teachers feel supported both in and out of the classroom.

New ELA Standards for BCPS

Beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, Banks County Primary School will implement Georgia’s new English Language Arts (ELA) standards in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. These standards were adopted by the Georgia Department of Education in 2023 and are designed to help our youngest learners build a strong foundation in reading, writing, and communication.
