Welcome to September at Banks County Primary!

We have an exciting month ahead filled with school spirit, important dates, and community activities. Here is everything you need to know for September 2026:

Important Dates to Remember

  • Sept 7: Labor Day Holiday (No School)

  • Sept 11: Progress Reports Go Home

  • Sept 11: Patriot Day (Wear Red, White, & Blue)

  • Sept 14–18: Spirit Week

  • Sept 22: School Picture Day

  • Sept 29: BCPS Color Run (at the BCES Football Field)

    • 2nd Grade: 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM

    • 1st Grade: 12:15 PM – 12:45 PM

    • Kindergarten: 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM

Spirit Week 2026 (September 14–18) Get ready to show off your school pride all week long!

  • Mega Fan Monday (Sept 14): Wear your favorite team's jersey or team colors!

  • Turn Back Time Tuesday (Sept 15): Dress up like you're from a different decade!

  • Class War Wednesday (Sept 16):

    • Seniors / 7th Grade / 4th Grade / 2nd Grade: Wear BLACK

    • Juniors / 6th Grade / 3rd Grade / 1st Grade: Wear BLUE

    • Sophomores / 5th Grade / Pre-K / Kindergarten: Wear GRAY

  • Talk Like a Pirate Thursday (Sept 17): Dress like a pirate and talk like one too!

  • Banks County Fan Friday (Sept 18): Show off your school pride and wear your favorite BC gear!

  • Homecoming Game (Friday, Sept 18 @ 7:30 PM): BCHS Leopards vs. Gordon County Warriors at Bobby Morris Stadium.

Health & Counseling Updates

  • Counselor's Corner: Mr. Chris Evans is available to support students' mental and emotional well-being. If your child would benefit from school counseling or outside resources, reach out at [email protected] or (706) 677-2355.

  • News from the Nurse:

    • Children must be fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication before returning to school.

    • If your child has seizures or asthma, please ensure an updated action plan from your physician is on file for this school year.

  • Food Support: Families experiencing food insecurity can stop by BCPS on Mondays and Thursdays between 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM to receive food.
