We are thrilled to welcome our students, families, and staff back for another fantastic year at BCPS! Please review the important operational details and key dates below to ensure a smooth transition into the new school year.
Through August 4th: Parents/guardians are permitted to walk students directly to their classroom doors for the first three days of school. Walkups to the office for drop-off will not be permitted after this date.
Beginning August 5th: All students must be dropped off via the car rider line or arrive by bus. Parents will no longer be permitted to walk students to classrooms.
Morning Arrival: Drop-off begins at 7:20 AM, and school officially starts at 8:00 AM. Students arriving after 8:00 AM must be walked into the main office and signed in by an adult presenting a valid photo ID.
Dismissal: School finishes at 2:55 PM. All car riders must be picked up in the car rider line—students will not be dismissed through the front office. Please ensure your car rider tag is clearly displayed to avoid pickup delays.
Transportation Changes: Any changes to your child's end-of-day transportation must be submitted in writing or by calling the front office before 2:00 PM. Changes cannot be accommodated after 2:00 PM.
Daily Gear: Please ensure your child brings their communication folder, water bottle, and backpack with a visible dismissal tag every day.
Medications: All prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications must be brought to the school directly by a parent/guardian. Required medical forms must be completed on-site. Please note that BCPS does not supply OTC medications.
BCPS Food Pantry: Families experiencing food insecurity are invited to visit the school food pantry on Mondays and Thursdays between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
