Banks County Schools Expands Summer Feeding Program with No Kid Hungry Grant

During the summer of 2025, Banks County Schools saw a substantial increase in meals served thanks to the support of the No Kid Hungry Grant.

The grant funding provided essential resources for transportation and additional staffing this past summer, enabling the district to operate two routes in congested areas and reach as many families as possible. This allowed the program to serve 2,782 more breakfasts and 2,848 more lunches compared to the summer of 2024.

“I am truly grateful for all the willing personnel and volunteers whose hard work and commitment made this year’s program such a success,” said School Food and Nutrition Director Nicole Blalock. “Thanks to this support and the dedication of our team and volunteers, we were able to make a significant impact within our Banks County Community.
