Banks County Primary School Appoints Alisha Roberts to Assistant Principal

 

Roberts has been a dedicated educator for 19 years, serving in various capacities, including classroom teacher, instructional coach, and curriculum specialist, all within Banks County Schools. She has taught 1st and 5th grades. Her innovative approach to education has earned her numerous accolades and recognition within the academic community.

"I am thrilled to join the leadership team at Banks County Primary School," said Roberts. "I look forward to collaborating with the staff and families to create an environment where every student can thrive."

Principal Dr. Michael Boyle expressed his confidence in her new role, stating, "Alisha has been a tremendous asset to BCPS for several years. She has taught in multiple grade levels and most recently served as the ILT at BCPS. She is a natural leader, and we are excited to see her accomplishments in this new role."

Roberts holds a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood from the University of North Georgia, a Master's Degree in Early Childhood, and a Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning from Piedmont University. She also earned a Tier 1 Leadership endorsement from UNG. In addition, she is a certified instructional coach and has participated in numerous professional development programs focused on leadership and school improvement. Roberts is a former Banks County graduate, having graduated in 1996. Additionally, her children, Morgan, Marybeth, and Mathew, are past graduates of Banks County Schools. Her husband, Shane, also has strong ties to the community, having served as a former Banks County Board of Education member.
