Banks County Primary School welcomed the Class of 2037 last week with kindergarten registration at Banks County Primary School. During the registration week, 121 students enrolled, and more students are expected.
Instructional Lead Teacher Alisha Roberts praised the efficiency of the process, stating, "We have had a great turnout at kindergarten registration. We have met the most amazing new little leopards and their families."
She also noted, "We have had a high percentage of parents complete the online registration before arriving at their appointment, making the process move seamlessly this year. Our technology department has worked hard to make registration smooth and straightforward for our parents. "
During the registration week, the school's leopard mascot was on hand to greet new families and students as they participated in their very own signing day. The young leopards also had the opportunity to pose for milestone pictures, capturing the excitement of their official welcome into the school community.
Jessica Turpin, a mother of two Banks County students, emphasized the community's cohesive nature, stating, "Being part of Banks County is special." She highlighted the effective "communication between schools and parents" through the system's app, newsletters, and teacher communication.
The system app, Edlio, is available for download on the Apple Store and Google Play.
"Our teachers are phenomenal. They take time to get to know kids and what works for them. They use small and large group instruction, whatever it takes to teach our students," Turpin shared.
"Being part of a system that offers so many opportunities like our Spring Fling, even the moments where our high school athletes help out with morning drop-off, makes Banks County special," she added.
A makeup day is scheduled for May 16th for those who missed the initial registration.
